Austria
We met our good friends Art and Marylin Burger in Bad Gastein on the north side of the Obervellach Alps above the Mura River headwaters. This beautiful region of the Austrian Alps was in full fall color in late September. Ann is on the shore at Hallstatt, one of Austria's most beautiful regions with a rich heritage from the Bronze Age 1300 BC. We visited Salzburg, Bad Ischl, and Linz along the Donau to Melk and Durnstein. Then we drove past Wien and south to Graz and into Slovenia at Maribor.
SLO Fall 2012
We enjoyed a warm dry September in 2013 with our Krompir Society friends and visitors from Colorado. The Kravi Ball celebrated the return of the cows from summer pastures in the Julian Alps above Bohinj. We met our Gaspari friends at the central market and planned a round of golf at Aviano.
Hoyl Reunion
Dave's cousin Greg an Angelica flew up from Brasil for a family reunion at Los Lagos Ranch, and a very special dinner at Bill and Kay Lorenz's Black Forest Restaurant in Nederland, Colo. We first stopped at Damaris and Steve's home, then went to the Black Forest Restaurant. It was quite an evening of memories with the Hoyl and Sayre families.
